Dear Readers:
My name is Matthew Bryant, aka "MOB". So, I work for Clarke County School District teaching 7th grade Middle School Mathematics. So...you are wondering about the "MOB" title! Let me tell you...my students at CMS are really into rapping aka freestylin'. I've seccretly always wanting to try and attempt this feat.
I am a big component in the phrase "getting into my kids backyard". This means tapping into their interest. My hope is to try to incorporate my the math into the rhyme...but no guarnatee!
Free Stying is when MC's try to rhyme lines without having it memorized .. usually to dis each others in competions. The difference between free style and rap is that rap focuses on the meaning more than rhyming .. free style as long as it rhymes it's in good shape and the best free style is the strongest or more powerful or has more impact when said.
So...wish me luck as I tell my students tomorrow that I want to try this. I will more than likely post Youtube clips.
